Since 1983 the Apache Junction Reach Out Food Bank has served thousands of people in the East Valley Communities. We are an emergency food bank offering assistance in Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, NW Pinal County, and East Mesa. In our service area 1 in 5 adults, 1 in 4 children, and 1 in 7 seniors are food insecure.
Working with our partners and volunteers, we look for ways to develop food security; and minister to other needs of our neighbors. Many of our clients are among Arizona’s “working poor” – those who have jobs but still cannot make ends meet. Using voluntary contributions of food, money, and services from the community, we strive to live up to our mission. Our primary commitment is to find, rescue, and distribute food to hungry people through an efficient food distribution model. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. This means that your donations to our food bank are tax deductible (consult an accountant for more information). Our staff consists of a full time Executive Director, full part time Warehouse Supervisor, part time Bookkeeper and two truck drivers sharing part-time hours; and many volunteers from the community. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization we are supported by our volunteers and donors. Your donations remain here. 89% of every dollar we receive goes directly to the Food Bank to help serve our clients and meet our mission. Only 11% of our donations are used for overhead expenses.
Your time and donations make all the difference and are greatly appreciated. We cannot do this without YOU!
Together with our volunteers and partners, Apache Junction Food Bank provides emergency food services to qualified individuals and families in East Valley Communities with kindness, respect and dignity.
